Nice! A new Google Gmail contact group list with my four friends neatly added. Jon’s the second match, so I click on his name, then add a few more names, pressing Return when I’m done Gmail shows me all the matches from its list of recent contacts, email recipients and senders, in order of how recently I’ve communicated with them. I’m looking for my friend Jonathan Woodard, so I type in “wood”... Now it’s rather stark:Ĭlick on “Add to “Gamers” (yours will be slightly different, of course, based on the name of the group you’re creating!) and it drops down an input box where you can enter emails or user names. I enter “Gamers” and click “OK” to proceed. When the contact group window pops up, set a group name for your list of. Then, select Home > New Contact List from the navigation bar to create a new group.

Open Outlook, go to the navigation bar and click on People. Look down the left side and it’ll show what groups you’ve already created - if any - along with a link to create a new group:Ĭlick on “New Group…” and you’re prompted to enter a name: Click on Add to Gamers (yours will be slightly different, of course, based on the name of the group you’re creating) and it drops down an input box where you can enter emails or user names. I dug into the help system that Google includes and every article insisted that I should have a link on the left side called “Contacts” and go from there, but where was it? I figured the help must be out of sync and even posted a note to Google Plus asking if there’s a known issue with contact management in Gmail. There was no “Contacts” entry on the left side.
